Jay Dee Penn (born December 13, 1978 in Kailua, Hawaii), is an American professional mixed martial arts fighter and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner who is currently the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Lightweight Champion.
In 2000, he became the first American-born winner of the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship in the black-belt category. Penn is a former UFC Welterweight Champion and was a coach on the The Ultimate Fighter 5 reality show. He became only the second fighter to win UFC titles in two different weight classes (the other being Randy Couture), after he won the lightweight title at UFC 80, having previously won the UFC's welterweight title from Matt Hughes at UFC 46. He is currently ranked by Sherdog and MMAWeekly as the #1 Lightweight fighter in the world.

Sanchez (born December 31, 1981 in Albuquerque, New Mexico) is a Mexican-American mixed martial artist (MMA) with a background in wrestling and Gaidojutsu, system of submission wrestling developed by his longtime, but now former, trainer Greg Jackson. Sanchez is the winner of the first season of The Ultimate Fighter reality series and currently fights as a lightweight with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
He trains at The Arena (MMA) gym in San Diego, where his Head Coach is Jiu Jitsu legend Saulo Ribeiro and his Wrestling Coach is 2004 Olympic Silver Medalist Stephen Abas. He also trains striking with Tony Palafox out of Throwdown San Diego. On December 12, 2009, Sanchez will face BJ Penn for the UFC Lightweight Championship at UFC 107.
