He is known for his appearance on the first season of The Ultimate Fighter reality show where he lost the middleweight final to Diego Sanchez. Florian currently fights as a lightweight for the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He is currently ranked by multiple MMA publications as the number-three lightweight in the world.
Takanori Gomi Gomi Takanori?, born September 22, 1978), is a Japanese mixed martial artist currently fighting in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Gomi is a former Shooto Welterweight Champion and was the final holder of the lightweight title from defunct promotion Pride Fighting Championship. He is also a four-time All Japan Combat Wrestling champion. Long before his upset loss to Sergey Golyaev he was known to be among the best lightweights in the world.
